I just added up two catagories on my bank statement. How much I spent on food items while gassing up at the pump, and how much I spent at McDevil’s last month.
Answer: $440.62
I have to now concede with a surgeon who fixed my hernia a few years ago. As I was going under anesthesia, the last thing I remember hearing as they prepped me for the knive was, “body by McDonald’s”. I was too out of it to protest his uncouth remark, but I remember it to this day. And to this day, I would have protested his assertion. In fact, I may have retorted, “I have an underactive Thyroid. (which is a factor in weight gain) and I’m going through stressful periods (cortisol) and I am required to be at a desk 10 hours a day (true), Mr. Dr. Man, you can take your “fatist bigotry” elsewhere. etc. etc. etc.
Well I now find out I’ve spent over 400 dollars at gas stations and McDonald restaurants, in just the last month. And the largest charge was 14.53!!! Most of them were 5.80.
This is great! I now know what must be done and this clarity is too motivating! I change this one behavior and I help my budget and my body. Double whammy.
